What is required to book my date?
To book your event date, we ask for a retainer fee and a signed contract. The retainer fee is usually 25-50% depending on the level of service you require and the remaining balance due 30 days before the wedding, (we don’t want to be a bill collector on your wedding day… it’s tacky). Booking dates are limited for each week, so please contact us to check our current availability for your date.

How many weddings do you shoot a year?
To provide high quality and service to our clients, we limit to only 12 weddings per year.

How many pictures are usually provided?
When we photograph a wedding, there is no limit to the amount of images taken. Most weddings have at least 1500 shots taken by a single photographer, and of those we try to narrow it down to 1000 of the best quality images. The amount of images dependent on level of coverage, number of photographers, length of wedding, weather, and location.

What do your albums look like?
All albums are professionally designed.

Do I receive the digital negatives after the wedding?
The digital negatives and a limited image release is included in selective wedding packages, and are available as an add on for $500.

Are your photos retouched?
We carefully retouch every finished album image or custom print before it is professionally produced.

What is your turnaround time after the wedding?
1-2 weeks: A blog post highlighting our favorite images
4-5 weeks: All edited images posted on our online proofing gallery and ordering gallery
5-6 weeks: Proof disk shipped & Online wedding slide-show uploaded
8-9 weeks: Initial album layout review (if applicable)
9-10 weeks: Final approval of the album layout
14-20 weeks: Custom album delivered with digital negatives (if applicable)

Do you have second photographers available?
Yes, even though Evolution Photography consists of only one photographer, we do have a large network of professional wedding photographer associates whom we work with. Lex provides his services as both a first and second shooter to other local professionals. Two professional wedding photographers for the price of one!!! But to be honest, most of the other wedding photographers out there DO NOT hire other professionals for fear of competition or a list of other reasons. We highly encourage having a second photographer to have full coverage of the bride and groom throughout the day.

Do you travel for weddings?
Yes, we are available nationwide. Lex has covered weddings in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, Maryland, Michigan, Texas, California, and many other places. Travel fees may apply, but we offer a huge discount for far away locations that involve getting on a plane. Lex loves traveling…

What kind of equipment do you use?
We shoot with only professional Canon digital equipment. Please see the Photographer FAQ for equipment details.

Do you have photography insurance?
Yes. We can provide a proof of insurance certificate if your venue requires it.
